I saw this over on Daring Fireball and thought I’d pass it along.

Readability is a javascript that you save as a “bookmarklet”.  What does it do?  Well, it makes websites readable.  There are far too many sites out there (particularly news sites) that sacrifice design and readability for the sake of cramming as much as they can on one page.  Readability strips away all of the other crap and leaves only the content you’re actually trying to read, making it much easier to do so.

It works surprisingly well.  It is customizable and easy to install, and since it’s just javascript, it works with any browser.

Also, I love that their sample text is the beginning to Kafka’s Metamorphosis – that seems pretty apt.
